Greetings from Sibley Orchards! Because of this heat apples will not keep as long. Be sure to store your apples in the fridge and have a plan to use your apples quickly. Apples available at the fruit stand: Jonathan apples are tart apples. Because of the hot weather their texture is a little softer. Great for apple sauce and apple butter. We have #2 apples, and will have more #1 apples Wednesday after noon. JonaGold apples are sweet-tart apple. They are a cross between Jonathan and Golden Delicious that are great for apple sauce, apple butter, and eating fresh. These are the last JonaGold of the season. Golden Delicious apples are a sweet apple. They are great for apple sauce and apple butter. They are also great for baking, juicing, and dehydrating Red Delicious apples are a sweet apple. They are great for eating fresh, dehydrating, and salads. #2 Apples are great for cooking and baking projects. For the best flavor and texture be sure to store your apples in the fridge. Apples avaialble as #2s: Jonathan and JonaGold. From the garden we have sweet potatoes and onions. We also have large and small mums. Hours: 10-4 Monday, 10-4 Wednesday-Saturday, 12-3 Sunday. Because of the heat in September those varities are running about two weeks ahead, which means the September apples will wrap up quickly this year. Just a friendly reminder we only sell the apples at the fruit stand, we don't have any picking or orchard access. We also have local honey, preserves, pickles, and Mexican vanilla.
